Welcome to the homepage of Pack 67 located in Philadelphia, NY. We are a family oriented organization, dedicated to teaching young boys values through character connections. Den meetings, led by volunteers and trained through the Boy Scouts of America, are held weekly to give the boys a chance to work together, learn together and PLAY together. Having fun is important to us. Often, projects started in the den will be completed at home. These projects are educational and cover many areas not covered in schools. Advancement and rank are earned by completing these projects. At the end of each month there is a pack meeting. The pack meeting is a time for all the dens to come together and recognize the achievements of each boy. Awards earned for the month are presented at this time in a small ceremony involving the Cubmaster, Den Leader, parent or adult partner and the boy receiving the award. Families are welcome at all den meetings and other activities and strongly encouraged to attend the pack meetings to share in the recognition of monthly achievements.
Besides den and pack meetings there are a lot of other opportunites to meet and enjoy time together. There will be hikes when the weather permits as well as camping events. There is an annual pinewood derby and raingutter regatta. The boys will also have the opportunity to do community service events and march in parades.
Does your boy play sports? So do our boys. There are even belt loops and pins the boys can earn for playing several different sports. Scouting is flexible, if you can't make a meeting, or several, the den leader will stay in touch with you and keep you informed of what the den is working on so you can keep up at home until the season is over. We WANT our youth playing sports to encourage well rounded, physically active boys.
